Mr O. #8: MaxMara A/W 12 / Wish List

Let's admit it: Italians do it better! I am not referring to some kind of naughty practice, nor being overly patriotic (well, just a tad).
I am talking about the art of creating power suiting and outwear  that only one fashion house  has the right of being named Queen of: MaxMara.
The label inventor of the iconic double-breasted coat "101801", with its Autumn/Winter 2012 collection definitely lives up to its reputation.
Soft military inspired peacoats have a cocoon-ish shapes, in line with the big volumes story present in the next Winter. Sleek cashmere tailored pieces, marinière tops worn over sailor pants,  crocodile leather used for belts and coats, all concur in the representation of the ultra-chic understated glamour the Italian maison is renowned for.

Below are some of my favourite looks form the catwalk, all featuring coats (and also a to-die-for coatlike jumpsuit!).
I kind of feel like skipping Summer and going straight to the next Winter.
Note of the day: I need a MaxMara coat in my life!
